Chinese Medical Massage (Tui Na)
Tui Na is a form of traditional Chinese medical massage that stimulates acupuncture points and channels through rubbing, pressing, and other hand techniques to loosen tissue and decrease pain throughout the body. This modality puts emphasis on proper mobility and range of motion in the musculoskeletal system. Tui Na is done with clothing on, so is great for people who wish to remain covered and maintain modesty.
Cupping
This technique uses special glass cups to create suction over an area. This increases circulation to the area helping to relax tension in the tissue.
Gua Sha
This procedure uses a smooth rounded Chinese "spoon" to slide over areas to release adhesions in the tissue allowing new oxygenated blood to enter the area. This procedure is comfortable but does produce some mild to moderate bruising over the area that will reduce over a few days.
